Presentation
Discover the orienteering course in the Chevelu de Bozel Woods, which will take you on a varied route through the heart of the forest—an ideal natural setting.
The blue course is a moderate-difficulty route, accessible to all ages—whether you’re exploring on your own or with others.
The blue course is a moderate-difficulty route, accessible to all ages—whether you’re exploring on your own or with others.
The activity involves finding numbered markers on the course, which are indicated on the map by red circles. Use the marker’s clip to mark the corresponding square on the map.
Orienteering can be enjoyed alone, with family, or with friends.
For younger children, the goal is to develop their observational skills by searching for the markers in the surrounding landscape. For older children with a competitive spirit, the courses should be completed as quickly as possible.
In orienteering, there are several “paths” to take to get from one control point to the next. But be careful—the straight line isn’t always the fastest! Choosing the right route, based on identifying obstacles on the map, is therefore crucial.
Is it better to go around the obstacle or tackle it head-on? It’s this challenge against nature that makes orienteering so exciting!
Paper maps of the permanent trails are available at Vallée de Bozel Tourisme.
