Presentation

This church has got a unique collection of scarified relics, even with its baroque design belated.
In 1760, the old church has been destroyed: the sacristy and the bell base were preserved. The new building is wider, south opening, face to the valley. The outside design is quite simple with 2 sundials and an equestrian statue of Saint Maurice.
The major altarpiece keeps diverse things of baroque art: however, a monumental late tabernacle hides a little bit a painting of 1775 representing Saint Maurice and Saint Blaise. The same saints are on the Attica canvas but the black Virgin representation and the wall painting in trompe-l’oeil from bedside and the lateral walls of the choir are surprising.
Feissons’s parish has got an important collection of relics: 8 reliquaries are fully sealed, they have got 149 bags on the name of saints, apostles, martyrs kings and pope… you could get lost in conjecture on the origin and authenticity of what it was often a lifeblood of the popular piety.
OuverturesFrom 01/01 to 31/12, daily.
